While exploring the labyrinths in the depths of Shambhala Lysithea and Annette become separated from the rest of their army. Expecting to fight Those Who Slither in the Dark, the girls end up finding a different type of creature who slithers in the dark. These demonic beast insects seem to populate the abandoned tunnels, and easily outnumber the girls. The two mages, both supremely skilled in magic, fight off a large number of the creatures, but are inevitably captured by the superior numbers of the worms. The monsters, which normally survive off of rodents and other small creatures, savor their captures, using their slimy tongues to lick the girls all over. Unable to fight back or escape, the two girls can only pray that their comrades find them before the worms grow bored of teasing them...
